My days are melting
down like wax
and merging together
in a thick, muddy pool
I’m losing my months
I feel like a fly
drowning in the mess
I try to climb up the candlestick
but my feet trap themselves in the
paraffin
So I warm my wings on the fragile flames
and try to learn how to swim
